I recently made my first visit to Sunderland. A wonderful weekend all round with some spectacular people, I saw some beautiful sights on my terrific tour of the area. Taken to the town's museum, it was right up my street: textiles, art, history and nature.
Also situated in the site is the tremendous tropical garden which is inspirational, interesting and tranquil, far from the 'Winter' which is in the garden's title and the weather which I visited it in.
I would definitely recommend a trip their if you're in Tyne and Wear, there is bound to be something to satisfy everyone!
