Very Belated but I'm on a role! -Graduate Fashion Week

Ok so it could be argue I'm taking the attention off the Jessica Jasmine Summer '12 fashion show for BEAT post but while I have the time there's no harm in another post eh?! Please remember to check out the shows post and its pics below though !
Way back in June now my college took us to London for the day to see what Graduate fashion week is like, watch a graduate fashion show and further investigate the universities of our choice. Also to have a fabulous time as well!
Being photographed by Company magazine was certainly a highlight, its always nice to be complimented on your style, I think we should all encourage individualism a lot more !

Jessica Jasmine Fashion Show for BEAT

Right now is the first time I have stopped post the show to post this, but I am not complaining it has been a good experience, full of lessons learned, laughs and love... despite the rain!

There is no denying that the event came with its fair share of stress and mainly on my own part but it was So worth it!
It was amazing to share the experience with those closest to me, it confirmed the strong base of support for my ambitions. It was great to hear that others enjoyed it too,  for instance one of my models ( a best friend I roped in) said it was the most fun she'd had in ages and I think it improved others self confidence too.
My experience at Henry Hunt definitely aided me with event as predicted. http://www.henryhunt.co.uk/
As informed as well there was nothing better than the feeling after! We were all hyped up back stage. Every moment was enjoyable and I can not tell you the honour you feel when someone buys your garments. There is no doubt this is what I aspire to do for the rest of my life!
It was such a priviledge to do this for the charity BEAT as well. They were very supportive of the event and we managed to raise £160 for the very worthy cause!

I've been a very bad Blogger recently, although hopefully I will be excused, as life, completely orientated by fashion of course, has been hectic... but I'm not complaining!
I have just returned today from a few fantastic days down in Somerset on work experience with Phoebe Garlick, founder and design genius of Henry Hunt. What an amazing experience it was as well!  I have learnt so much and gained a fabulous insight into the brilliant brand and the industry. I was lucky enough to see the great new Autumn/ Winter collection of which the pre collection is online now !http://www.henryhunt.co.uk/
Among many things I have learnt these past few days my appreciation of the quality of garments and the care and talent that is involved in them has escalated and one element which makes Henry Hunt's garments even more special than most is their support of local businesses by sourcing materials etc. from in and around Somerset. No doubt this is partly due to the lovely personalities of the family who run Henry Hunt who I had the pleasure of meeting this week.

From what I've seen and heard their fashion show was a great success where three different collections were released. This included The Jubilee Collection of one off beautifully hand crafted dresses which celebrate the brands country of origin in this very special year, each personally, preciously made by Phoebe herself. There is no doubt that an owner of one of these desirable dresses would themselves feel like jewels in it! http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=10151018279184032&set=a.430495769031.227277.185319199031&type=1&theater
The achievements of Henry Hunt, and Phoebe has inspired me further to follow my fashion dreams. The success of the fashion show has given me courage for my charity fashion show this coming Tuesday !
Thank you Henry Hunt !
