The modern pin-board

Ever feel like you have so many ideas bur just cant record them, or  worst remember them? 

Tomorrow with the aid of the fabulous photographer Zoe East of Opal Desires, I will be shooting my Final major project garments on the magnificent model Mollie McHale.

The themes and inspirations for the project were feminine floras and Edwardian Negligee. 

I have also gathered other inspirations throughout the progression of the project, including 1950s for the neck scarf. 

With all these influences and ideas it would be hard to process my ideas  to communicate my intentions and thus incorporate them into into a fitting, relevant and nice shoot.

Package it Perfectly, Branding is Big

So lets be honest, who has been swayed by the packaging of a product? 

I'm  pretty sure we all have at some point or another, even if it was a book cover when we were five! 

Like most things in the commercial world packaging is exceptionally important to sell sell sell! It's got to promote the product to the ideal target market and in a way which best represents the brand. 

Below is the Versace miniature perfume collection. Obviously these are just the boxes, the glass bottles inside are very elegant and yet glamorous at the same time. When it comes to perfume clearly, scent is key, but the packaging has to not only do what it states above but describe the scent visually also! 

Versace has done, as it does with all its produce, exceptionally well with these miniatures, each so individual, but they all work well together! 

Minis as opposed to larger bottles allow you to mix and match your scents to how you feel/ what kind of event you are going to. Also they are fab to take in your bag for the occasional top-up!

Individual in and by the pool

Abroad by the beach, relaxing at a Spa, or even at a leisure centre dress to impress in individual, in-style swim wear. If you dress fun, well then that's a good start to a fun summer!

Robin Thicke fit?

Blurred lines recently made number one in the official Uk top 40 so, clearly Thicke can sing.
The two versions of its video have proven to be controversial... But, and it may just be my opinion he is looking good at 36.
Is it something about men who can sing, or is it that he's funny too? Starring on comedy 'Real Husbands of Hollywood up until he disappeared to make Blurred lines.
To the gold diggers out there maybe it's his fame and fortune?
The suit? Men in tailored suits suggest sophistication, intelligence and that try care about their appearance.
It's down to the individual at the end of the day but the stats show we should fancy this funny fella! So do you?

Who says healthy can't be tasty

Like most people my holiday is fast approaching and the thought of wearing a bikini is beginning to feel far too real ( and terrifying)!
It's amazing what a healthy lifestyle can do ... And guess what ... It can be cheap and tasty too!
Today I'm tucking into a goats cheese salad.

Ingredients :
Goats cheese cubes
Homegrown lettuce leaves
Three walnuts
Tea spoon of humous
Baby tomatoes
Slices of cucumber

Presented nicely on a sweet little sweetheart plate.

The above inspired me to base my Spherical Pattern Cutting college project loosely on dinosaurs. Incase you hadn't guessed, the jacket is to the left of the photo, featuring spikes down the spine.
