Photography fit for a King by Aleksandra Kingo

If you ever got chance to meet a famous fashion photographer ... Perhaps one for Vogue or Dazed and Confused, I can guarantee Kingo will fit the profile. Beautiful and artistic describes both the photographer and her work. She has managed to express not only her style but that of STELLA&ALF brilliantly at last weeks photo-shoot. Lovely in nature she managed to put up and direct even the most unnatural model; myself, calmly and courteously. She knows her equipment, requirements and over all profession profoundly. I can't wait for the fantastic results of her work in STELLA&ALF's look book! Gaining great work in the industry already I predict great things for Aleksandra the London College of Fashion student and hope one day I will be lucky enough to show my own designs in an editorial by the fabulous photographer!

Ellis the exceptional and sweet stylist

Photographer and specialised stylist studying at London College of Fashion Ellis Wood is set to be a spectacular spectacle within the fashion industry. Committed, organised, and super stylish everyone at the STELLA&ALF were completely comfortable in the friendly hands of this young professional. Would you want to be styled by Ellis Wood? Why not she's wonderful at the occupation!

Make-up Beautiful by Brocklebank

So I'm not one for much day time make-up ...because it is so time consuming for me to actually do it correctly! But I have been inspired to change this since meeting the lovely, bubbly Tina Brocklebank.
A professional trained make-up artist who is amazing at her occupation, there is no surprise that STELLA&ALF were so keen to have Tina as the make-up artist for their look book photo-shoot. I am always concerned about looking orange with makeup on, but even with the slightly exaggerated tones required for the camera to detect it, the very experienced makeup artist managed to not even create a hint of orange! In fact I was totally astounded with the final result when I looked in the mirror, it gave me that extra confidence in front of the camera! To be honest though, as soon as I walked into the studio on the day and saw this glamorous lady I knew I was in good hands!

I certainly intend to book a lesson on make-up artistry with her at her studio and I strongly advise any Bride-to-be, prom princess, or budding beautician to contact this cosmetics Queen, as, not only is her work wonderful but the experience extremely enjoyable because of her kind hearted nature!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of being one of the models for Stella&Alf's look book. Let me tell you it is going to be great! I didn't think it possible but the clothes looked even more fantastic on the day!

The two more mature models looked stunning you would have never have know they were both new to the modelling scene! Every other member of the team: make-up artist, stylist, photographer, caterer, creative directors of course were very professional and overall fantastic in their positions! I intend to cover each individual professional over the next few posts so keep an eye open for them! 

With the launch not long away now there's not long to wait for the rest of the look book but take a cheeky look on the brands blog to find a sneak peek in the meantime!

Ice cold clothing

Looks like me after waiting for the bus this morning! Fashion and art can come hand in hand to produce some really cool results ... Like these two pieces / installations by Nicole Dextras.

The Native Coat of a Dog

The most stylish garment I've seen today in the snow is a poodle's coat... and I'm not talking the hair of the dog. Having never actually owned a dog in my life I'm not sure what I think of dressing a dog up...but the poodle certainly seemed to benefit from the extra layer! There's snow denying it fury friend looked very fashionable in this freezing weather!

Freaky or fun?

I'd wear these Dolce & Gabbana designs any day, especially this coming season. But I would not leave it hanging on my wardrobe door at night for sure!

Stella and Alf studios!

Exciting day today helping to move Paris and Charlotte of Stella and Alf into their new premises! So exciting! The pictures are before we even began furnishing ... It looks fabulous already!

Why it is so hard for me to part with my wardrobe

Every time I finally part with my garments guess what ... A few seasons down the line they are back in fashion again!
That's just how fashion works!
I love Armani's Spring/ Summer 13 collection... Especially as I bought a blazer from H&M very similar last year and trousers from the Clothes Show Live the year before that! So there really is no argument in my eyes ... Just get another wardrobe !

Lids of luxury

Doir's model's eyes have certainly been sparkling on the catwalk for this coming season. For street style you do not have to I so extreme. Perhaps a diamond in the corner of the lid, fancy fake lashes or statement shadow on a night out would work for you ?

Metallic material has manifested
Itself once again on the catwalk producing a new shine on the style. Burberry is one bran which is bringing back the trend brilliantly.

It's the little things that make the world of difference

Stunning and silver was not what won my love for this beautiful necklace (, that was the bonus!). It was the thought and message behind it. It's safe to say my friends know me better than anyone, they are worth more than silver to me.
Quirky and clever I was going to love the gift anyway but the fact that it was a symbol of my friend's support and faith for me and my ambitions really touched my heart. We all need to know that someone believes in you! Thats why I'd highly recommend anyone stuck for a special gift to consider the value of the message above all. Even if if they had made it themselves from
a pizza box I would have treasured it. Now whenever I'm in doubt I'll have something important round my neck to reassure me that if I want it to be the world really is my oyster! Watch out world Jessica Jasmine is coming!
